What type of thermocouple should I pair with my TAP Controller?

Thermocouple compatibility varies by which type of TAP Controller you have...

The original TAP Kiln Controller is compatible with Type R, Type S, and Type K thermocouples (you can compare the properties and temperature ranges for thermocouples here). 
 
TAP II, TAP Micro, TAP Monitor, and TAP&Go are only compatible with Type K thermocouples.
