What type of thermocouple should I pair with my TAP Controller?

Thermocouple compatibility varies by which type of TAP Controller you have...

The TAP II Pro and the original TAP Kiln Controller are compatible with Type R, Type S, and Type K thermocouples (you can compare the properties and temperature ranges for thermocouples here). 
 
TAP II, TAP Micro, TAP Monitor, and TAP&Go are only compatible with Type K thermocouples.
