I bought a kiln with TAP preinstalled. How do I tell if I have a TAP or a TAP II Controller?

If your Start and Menu buttons are on the left, you have an original TAP. If your Start and Menu buttons are on the right, you have a TAP II.

Sometimes, especially if you purchase a kiln with a controller preinstalled, it can be confusing to know whether you have an original TAP or a TAP II Controller. The easiest way to tell the difference is to look at your controller’s Home Screen: 

• If your Start and Menu buttons are on the left side of the screen, you’re using an original TAP Controller. 
• If your Start and Menu buttons are on the right side of the screen, you’re using a TAP II Controller. 

You can also check which controller you’re using from the TAP Kiln Control Mobile app by clicking the Info icon beside your kiln on the Summary Screen.
